This week I’ve been working on Illustrator portraits of some of my friends.  These are the four I’ve completed, and I’m working on more.  They are similar in style to an artist (whose name escapes me at the moment) that specializes in celebrity illustrations. Try and guess who everyone is!  Hopefully it’s pretty obvious…

Anna Raff

While getting my daily blog fix, I stumbled across this charming illustrator based in NY.  On her blog, Ornithoblogical, Anna Raff does daily illustrations of birds, but not the “put a bird on it” birds you might be used to.  These birds are witty, simple, and lovely.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I’ve been incredibly bored at work lately, so I decided to take advantage of the time that I have and play around in Illustrator.  I didn’t take very many design classes at Biola (and zero typography classes) but I still enjoy learning the program.  This is what I came up with today.
